Very please to be posting this today as it feels somewhat like a new start for this website that has been static now for a few years while I have built a number of quite large kinetic installation pieces and founded a modest but fast growing research group at the Bartlett School of Architecture – The Interactive Architecture Lab. In the coming year we will be developing the worlds first Masters in Interactive Architecture programme, which I’m enormously excited about and with a little bit of luck, I’ll have a PhD under my belt. Today to mark the start of this I wanted to share the Interactive Architecture Labs first annual catalog sharing the work of the past years graduate students. You may have seen their projects published in leading design and technology publications such as Wired and Mashable (William Bondin), Dezeen (Ling Tan), Creators Project (Chryssa Varna), We Make Money Not Art (Shchong Li), CNET, Architizer to name a few.
Here’s last years brief to the class of 2013. If you’re wondering what the whole Aurora fascination is about, you’ll have to read the catalogue. Download the book in pdf format here.
